About — Finance Planner

Finance Planner began as one person’s own planning spreadsheet in Switzerland. Same arithmetic, no formula surgery, a plan that stays in your browser.

What Finance Planner is

Finance Planner is an annual budget planner for households — a year of income, spending, budgets, saving goals, investments, pensions and debts in one place — showing what each month leaves you, where your balance lands and what you are worth. No bank login, no account, and the plan stays in your own browser.

It is a planner rather than a tracker: it is about the twelve months in front of you, not a tidy record of the ones behind. Nothing has to be discovered, because you already know most of it — the salary, the rent, the insurance, the trip in July. You type that down, it does the arithmetic on all of it, and it keeps the answer honest as the year goes on.

What kind of thing it is

Nothing to connect: No bank login, no card, no import, no month of transactions to categorise before you learn anything.

Every figure traceable: Each total opens onto the rows that made it. The rules are published in full — nothing is inferred on your behalf.

Households, not individuals: Income per person plus a shared family stream. Two salaries, one buffer, one answer.

Confidence, not guesswork: Mark spending committed, likely or maybe, and read the optimistic and pessimistic lines side by side.

Multiple years: Each year is its own plan, switched from the top bar, with one period filter shared across every page.

Offline first: It works on a plane. Undo on every destructive action, light and dark themes, the URL as the current view.

Where it is built

Made in Switzerland, in Europe.

Your plan is written to your own browser, and — if you turn backups on — to a private corner of a cloud account that is yours, not ours. It never reaches our servers, in transit or at rest. There is nothing here for us to lose, sell or hand over.

The planner itself needs JavaScript: every figure on screen is calculated in your browser.
